However, the function “Connect AirPods in one-click” is its feature. It has to be said that the functions it provides are really useless! It is more convenient to press the default “Command” + “Shift” + ”.” to show the hidden files. Do Not Disturb can be fast switched through the notification center in Touch Bar. ![]() For most people, hidden desktop icons are not a regular activity. It does simplify some of the common functions, but the dark mode and Night Shift generally do not need to manually switch, as well as the screen saver rarely needs to launch manually. It is convenient for users to call up quickly. It integrates the functions together into the menu bar, such as hiding desktop icons, switching dark mode, keeping the screen light, and opening the screen saver with one-click switch buttons, which are based on independent apps in the past. The functions of One Switch include hiding desktop, dark mode, keeping screen light, screen saver, Do Not Disturb, connecting AirPods in one click, turning on and off Night Shift, and showing the hidden files. One Switch focuses on the fast switching system settings. One Switch for Mac is the latest Mac efficiency software launched by Fireball Studio. This app allows you to monitor the system’s information without taking up too much desktop space.įree Try iStat Menus One Switch for Mac (One-click Switch Tool) It also supports the functions required by selective switches and customized display style, as well as supports to alert you via notifications when the presupposed conditions are met. iStat Menus for Mac is quite powerful, supporting to view date and time, weather information, CPU memory & hard disk usage, network status, internal sensor status (e.g. Most importantly, with Bartender being incorporated straight into macOS, the large percentage of Mac users who don’t already know Bartender exists would be able to take advantage of this as well, meaning that everyone benefits in this situation.IStat Menus is a macOS hardware information monitor app. If you were acquired by Apple, you could add features like scrollable menus or a Bartender Bar for the left side of the menu, something I don’t think is currently possible with a third-party app. The only way for it to become a native feature and be implemented as well as it currently is in your app is for Apple to buy you out, and you could work with the macOS software team to further optimize the menu bar, and continue to respond to users’ feature requests with this email. Bartender should change from a paid third-party app to a native feature of macOS, which would solve the menu bar issue for the majority of Mac users, notch or not. I think Bartender should be acquired by Apple. So, I think I have a solution, and before I tell you, fair warning that I am not a businessman, I have no affiliation with Apple, and don’t know about how a lot of my plan would work in a financial sense, but I want to tell you why it makes sense in a technical sense. Bartender fixes this issue for me, as I have most of my menu bar items located in the Bartender Bar so they don’t crowd the main bar, but not every Mac user wants to spend $15 or sign up for Setapp for such a simple app that solves such a fundamental issue that is currently plaguing many of Apple’s most “pro” Mac users who just threw them $2000+ on a new MacBook. Because of the notch, there is less space on either side of the menu bar to place icons so oftentimes, the icons get very close to the notch and sometimes, as shown in Snazzy Labs’ tweets, even go under the notch, making them frankly unusable and making Apple’s software team seem like they didn’t know the MacBook Pro even had a notch. ![]() ![]() ![]() The reason? I recently upgraded to the brand new 14-inch M1 Pro MacBook Pro with a notch. I used to think it was a nice app to have on my Mac but now I think it is a necessity. I think it’s a great way to organize my menu bar so it is less cluttered, and all-in-all, functions like an “App Library” for my menu bar. I have been a big fan of the Bartender app for a long time. ![]()
